Samsung produces some of the most dependable Smart TVs, but even the greatest TVs can have issues from time to time. The most prevalent problems with Samsung come from a lack of internet connectivity. Others are caused by operating system flaws, power supply failure, or a lack of memory. When your television stops operating, you will notice an error code, which can vary depending on the problem. Error codes are intended to provide you with a general sense of the issue and its likely causes. Some faults, such as lines on the screen, distorted sound, or poor picture quality, will not generate error codes. This makes them difficult to diagnose and repair. When your Samsung Smart TV stops operating, the first thing you should do is try to figure out what’s wrong. Then, troubleshooting Samsung smart TV would become easier if you have found it.
Troubleshooting Samsung Smart TV issues-
- The Samsung TV is unable to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi
Start by going to Settings > General > Network > Network Settings > Wireless if your Samsung TV is unable to recognize a specific or any wireless network. Check to see if your Wi-Fi network is listed on your TV. Whether your network isn’t mentioned, you’ll have to see if your TV has hidden it. Select Add, then type the network’s name.

Perform a network status test if your TV is unable to connect to the internet. To check the status of your network, go to Settings > General > Network > Network Status. Run the test and keep an eye out for any error warnings. An error notice will assist you in resolving the problem.
- On a Samsung Smart TV, apps will not install
If you’re having trouble getting apps to install on your Samsung TV, try the following:
- Remove the power cord from your television.
- Log out of the program that’s creating the issue.

- Examine your streaming strategy.
- Check to see if your TV’s firmware is up to date.
Another alternative is to reset your television to its factory defaults. Go to Settings > General > Reset > 0000 as the PIN > Reset. Check to see if your TV’s firmware is up to date.
- The remote control on my Samsung TV isn’t working.

- Disconnect the batteries from the remote, press and hold the Power button for eight seconds, then return the batteries and try again.

- The Samsung TV does not seem to be able to connect to a Samsung server
Here’s what you should do if your Samsung TV isn’t connecting to the Samsung server:
- Restart the TV and try again.
- To see if the unit will connect, set up a connection with a mobile hotspot. If this is the case, the issue is with your router.
- Go to Settings > General > Network > Network Status and run the test to check your TV’s network status.
- Go to the Settings and then tap on General, now click on Network > Reset Network to reset the network. Reconnect after the reset is complete.
- The pictures on my Samsung TV aren’t showing up
If your Samsung Smart TV is having image issues, attempt the following troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure the red standby light is turned on. If the TV is turned on but not showing any pictures, hit the power button on the remote or on the TV.
- Press any button on your TV except the Power button if the TV is not turning on and the red standby light is off.
- Unplug the TV from the power outlet for 30 seconds before plugging it into a functional outlet.
- Request service from the Samsung Support Center if you observe dots, spots, or lines on your screen. A cracked screen can be identified by lines on the screen.
- Turn off LED Clear Motion if your TV’s picture is flickering. Toggle between Settings > Picture and then Expert Settings tap on Auto Motion Plus Settings, click on Auto Motion Plus and then Custom, click on LED Clear Motion and Settings > Picture > Expert Settings, hit Auto Motion Plus Settings, and then Auto Motion Plus > Custom and lastly tap on LED Clear Motion.
- Go to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Photo Test to do a picture test.
- Go to Settings > General > Energy Saving or Eco Solution to switch off energy saving. Turn the option off.
- HDMI is not recognized by Samsung TV
If you haven’t turned on the connected device, selected the wrong source, or are using a damaged cable, your Samsung TV may not recognize the HDMI cable.
You can, however, perform troubleshooting Samsung smart TV by following this-
- Verify that the linked device is turned on by pressing the power button.
- Set your TV’s source to the same port that you used to connect your device. If your gadget is connected via HDMI port 1, your TV’s source should be HDMI 1.
- Disconnect and reattach the HDMI cable on both ends.
- If that doesn’t work, try attaching the HDMI cable to a different port.
- Check the HDMI port with a different device to see if it works. If it happens, contact the manufacturer or schedule a repair of the preceding device.
If your cable and external device are both working properly, the problem is most likely with your TV or HDMI ports. In that case, go to the Support Center and make a repair request.
Otherwise, you’ll need to replace the cable if it’s broken.
- Samsung TV does not have any apps
On a Samsung Smart TV, you can download apps and run them just like you would on a smartphone. However, the apps may have difficulties and stop operating or become inaccessible on the Samsung device.
Here’s how to troubleshoot the problem:
- Unplug your modem, router, and TV to power cycle all connected devices. Remove the power cords from the wall, but don’t detach any Ethernet cables.
- Reconnect your equipment one by one and wait for your television to connect.
- Reconnect the TV and turn it on.
- Try accessing the applications again to see if the problem has been resolved. Check for Samsung TV software upgrades if that doesn’t work. Select Update Now under Settings > Support > Software Update.
Factory resetting your television is an extreme solution. However, this would necessitate re-downloading and installing the programs.
