Guide to Watch SAG Awards on Roku Streaming Device

by: Kunal Kumar/ Category(s) : Trending

The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists presents the SAG Awards, often known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG-AFTRA). The prize is a statue of a man wearing a comedy mask on one hand and a tragedy mask on the other. The figure is crafted entirely of solid bronze, stands 41cm tall, and weighs more than 5.4kg. The SAG Awards were established in 1952 to honor great performances by actors and actresses. The Screen Actors Guild has two committees, one for films and the other for television shows. Each committee will pick approximately 2100 members from a huge pool of candidates (165,000). These individuals are eligible to vote for the winners. In this guide, we’ll teach you how you can install the TNT app to watch the SAG Awards on your Roku streaming device.

About the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards

The SAG Awards (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) are honors bestowed by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). The award was established in 1952 to honor outstanding achievements in film and prime-time television. Since 1995, the SAG Awards have been one of the most important awards shows in the Hollywood film business.

The awards are nominated by two committees, one for cinema and one for television, each comprising 2100 members of the union, who are chosen at random each year, with the entire membership (165,000 as of 2012) voting for the winners. It is said to be a predictor of acting success at the Academy Awards.
