  • When prompted, choose Discard after tapping the appropriate checkmark at the top.

You can choose to save the post as a draft or delete it after tapping the Back arrow once more. Select the option to save a draft.

On the New Post page, fill out the post’s full details, including the caption, location, and other details. Press the Back arrow in the top left corner to get back to the editing page. After tapping the Back arrow a second time, you may decide whether to store the post as a draft or delete it. Decide whether to save a draft.

How to View and Post Your Instagram Saved Drafts?

Sadly, Instagram doesn’t offer a way to recover a deleted reel’s drafts. Once erased, they are permanently lost. They are no longer recoverable.

However, within 30 days, deleted Instagram posts, stories, IGTV videos, and reels can be recovered using the Recently Deleted option. However, once discarded, draft posts or reels cannot be retrieved.
